Thesis Beard

The beards have been shaved.

PAW was there to film the shaving, and hopefully they’ll let us post some of it here!

I dyed my beard to commemorate the finish line.

First I had to bleach it.

Then I dyed it pink.

Then I celebrated with the rest of WWS and Will at the fountain!

I finished my thesis today!!! I submitted it electronically and sent it to the printers, too. The beard will be coming off tomorrow at 11:30AM, with a possible live stream (more details to be posted here later).
This is my last day with a beard, and it will be sad to see my face without it. Daniel dyed his beard pink, and I tried to bleach mine, but as you can probably see, the bleach didn’t really do anything!

I’m doneeeeee!!!!!!

I hope that this will be my last post before sending my thesis to the printers!  The shaving won’t happen until Thursday 11:30AM (at the earliest), so there will still be a bearded post tomorrow, even if my thesis is done.

Now I just have a late night of final proofreading of 70 pages, which is no fun, but it must be done.

Beard Update: I despise the beard. But it will come off very soon. MUHAHAHAHA. I WILL DESTROY THE BEARD MUHAHAHAHA.

Thesis Update: I am proud to announce this momentous occasion: I am finally done with my thesis. I pulled an all nighter yesterday night formatting and stylizing my thesis (thanks to Ming-yee for his help!), and submitted it for binding. I received an email two hours ago saying it’s already bound and ready to go!

I’m only 2 days away from sending this off to the printers (and 3 days away from shaving) if I keep to my schedule!  Many people have felt my beard and said that they think my beard is longer than my hair!

It’s so hard to fathom that I’m essentially done except for proofreading.  I’ve been told that once I submit it, I shouldn’t read it for at least 6 months because I’ll then notice typos and be upset I didn’t change it!

I considered an April Fool’s prank for this blog, but I’ve already caused enough havoc in Princeton today, so I will spare the readers any more pranks!
